One Month....
Happy one month birthday to tristan on Sunday! Can you believe our little man is going to be a month old already? i can't! It seems just like yesterday I was making those trips back and forth to the NICU and drying out my skin from scrubbing my hands everytime I entered the NICU! He was well worth it though! My poor baby has been a little constipated though and it just breaks my heart to watch him squirm and cry, I know how miserable he is. But I am glad to announce he is much better ;o) Right now he is laying on his boppy pillow staring at me and smiling off and on. He is so beautiful. If he had his way (wait, he does get his way!) he would sleep with me and Timmy at night and he does! I woke up this morning to Timmy telling me it was my turn to hold him. He only likes to sleep in our bed while touching one of us. Spolied baby!
The last few days we have taken it easy, mostly staying home and enjoying the peace. Although on Monday we went and hung out with all of Tristan's cousins after school. He loved it! He was held by everyone and he loved laying in the floor on his back just looking around and staring at all the faces. The kids really seem to think Tristan is as interesting as he thinks they are! I love that he has a big family to be around, that means he will never be alone!

It's all about Tristan....
Today tristan got to meet his Uncle Derrick (my brother) for the first time. He really seemed to like him LOL! Although he did fart on him, but I am starting to think that means he likes you because he likes to fart on everyone who holds him! What can I say, he is his daddy's son!
We Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I am officially a mom...

I was packing for my business trip and my three year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said, 'Daddy, look at this' , and stuck out two of her fingers. Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said, 'Daddy's gonna eat your fingers,' pretending to eat them. I went back to packing, looked up again and my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face. I said, 'What's wrong, honey?' She replied, 'What happened to my booger?'
Also over the last week Tristan has had a few doctor's appointments. On Wednesday he had his stitches taken out and he didn't even wake up or flinch! He's mommy's big boy! Then on Thursday he had his first pediatrician appointment and I am happy to say he is gaining his weight back! He was 6lbs and 9.6oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. He was doing so well that he didn't need to come back until his 2 month check up! The same day we also had to go back to the hospital and have his 2nd PKU test done, it's to make sure his body is doing okay with formula. Apparently some babies reject the formula and it can cause mental retardation. Then he went with me to my OB check up and my doctor absolutely fell in love with Tristan. She took him and showed him off to everyone working in the office. He is a ladies man for sure. He peepee ring and umbilical cord has fallen off finally and he was able to take his first "real" bath.
Tristan also had a wonderful second baby shower this weekend. He recieved tons of diapers and clothes and other essentials. Other than that we have had a pretty easy time since my mom has been here helping since Tristan has been born. I am going to be lost when she finally goes home in a few days.
